Hi Rob, it's popular BostonYPA member David here! Something might be wrong with the site and how RSVP's are handled. For example, I did not sign up for the January 2013 New Member Mixer and the site initially confirmed me as "attending" the event. I recently switched it back to "will not attend." Only one day after this event was posted, 40 people (mostly non-new members) were confirmed as "attending", which honestly sounds too good to be true. So the issue here might just be mainly the BostonYPA.com site itself and NOT entirely a large number of members RSVP'ing and eventually not showing up in-person at events. Please forward this info to Anne Gilroy and other board members!
