Big Night Entertainment Group

BIG NIGHT ENTERTAINMENT GROUP was founded in 2006 by veteran nightclub owners Ed Kane and Joe Kane, along with marketing and entertainment expert Randy Greenstein. The goal of Big Night Entertainment is to bring New England dining and nightlife to a new level. The group’s first success came that same year when they were tapped by the Lyons Group to partner and manage The Estate in Boston. Voted “Best of Boston” every year since its inception, The Estate continues to be Boston’s best nightclub. Shortly thereafter, word spread that Foxwoods Resort Casino in Connecticut was planning to expand its property by building an MGM Grand hotel and casino.

When looking for potential venue operators to put together an amazing nightlife venue within the casino, Foxwoods was referred to Big Night Entertainment Group. In summer of 2011, Red Lantern Restaurant and Lounge in Boston’s South End/Back Bay opened. The group hit a homerun again, garnering awards for design and accolades for food and ambiance. Big Night Entertainment didn’t slow down. Instead, they took on a new venture, opening GEM Restaurant and Lounge in spring of 2012 in Boston’s Financial District. The expansion of Big Night Entertainment continues into summer of 2012 as Empire Restaurant and Lounge opens in Boston’s growing Seaport District.

Strega Waterfront
The Strega phenomenon exploded in 2003 with the opening of restauranteur Nick Varano's now legendary North End landmark. Strega quickly became famous for its dramatic decor, celebrity clientele, unmatched hospitality and most of all, its unforgettable Italian quisine.

In continuing the Strega tradition, Nick Varano and the Varano Group officially opened the doors to the all new Strega Waterfront in 2010.
