In addition to planning and promoting events, I am also a corporate accountant. I have been planning events basically all my life.

I moved to D.C. from Orlando, Florida in 1992. I planned parties for my friends which would draw crowds from 20 to 200, plus I ran all the events for my department at First Virginia Banks, Inc., where I worked from 1999 to 2003. I also lead volunteer activities for the Single Volunteers of D.C. from 1998 to 2002. Most of the people who knew me from this group followed me to D.C.Society of Young Professionals, where I worked part time as an event planner from 2002 to early 2003. Also, some time during this period, I visited Boston for the first time, and completely fell in love with the city!

My guiding principle in running this organization is to create a community for the young professionals of Boston while providing unique, informative and entertaining events.

A little about me.....I grew up on Cape Cod, where I still spend as much time as possible. I moved to Boston to attend UMASS where I lived for years before relocating to Key West. In Key West, I owned a number of retail stores on historic Duval Street. After living there for 6 years I relocated back to Boston where I became a Small Business Relationship Manager in banking. I am an avid skier and try to get up to the mountain as much as possible.

When looking for sponsors for the BYPA, our objective is to find organizations that have parallel goals to ours. We don't want to put something in front of our members that they would not be interested in. We're likely to turn sponsorships down if a company does not fit our mission or code of ethics. That being said, if you have something you think would be of interest to our young professional members, feel free to jot me an email and we'll find a sponsorship plan that's right for you.

I grew up in Norwood, just southwest of Boston, and currently live in Back Bay. For my undergraduate degree, I attended Alfred University and went to the University of Massachusetts Worcester for a Masters in Public Health. I am currently a Data Analyst/SAS Programmer at the Health Policy Department at Harvard Medical School. I also consult part-time in SAS programming and data analysis. In my free time, I enjoy skiing and checking out new restaurants with friends.

As Director of Operations for BYPA, I handle many things that happen behind the scenes to make sure events and the grip run smoothly. If you have any questions, be sure to come find me!

I'm a Architect/Interior Designer, I have more than 7 years professional experience in both fields. I'm also a Sales Assoc. for Banana Republic, Night Club Promoter for a few of Boston's high profile night clubs. I've lived in Boston area for about 11 years and I grew up in, Atlanta, Ga.  I love leading events for the BYPA - you'll see me at almost every event.  Come look me up!  I love meeting new people.
