A Community of Professionals Ages 21-45 Brought Together By Events
Why can't I post (blogs, comments, jobs, listings, etc.)?
If you have not registered as a member, you will be unable to post. Only Members receive posting access to our Members Only pages. Register to be a member here!
I just purchased Membership. Why can't I log in?
Memberships are not approved automatically. Your membership must first be approved before your password will be issued. Approval can take up to 48 hours. If, for any reason, your membership is not approved, your membership fee will be credited back to your account. If you registered as a "Premium Member" of the old BostonYPA.com after August 2009, or as a "Lifetime Premium Member" at any time, please email us at events@bostonypa.com and we will let you know how to set up your profile at the new BostonYPA.com.
What is the difference between a member and a non member?
A non member is anyone who does not register a profile with us at www.BostonYPA.com. If you are a professional ages 21-45, you may still attend our events without becoming a member and may receive our weekly newsletter. Members pay one time membership dues and receive special benefits, such as discounted and free BYPA events and access to post everything from blogs to jobs and classifieds and much more at www.BostonYPA.com. Both Basic and Premiume members receive the same service at our events.Register to be a member here!
Are you a singles organization?
While BYPA does organize and hold regular singles events, we are not a singles organization. Most of our events are attended by both singles and married people. In fact, one of the members of our Board of Advisors is married!
I don't know anyone in BYPA. Can I go to an event alone?
Most people go to their first BYPA event alone. You will not be uncomfortable if you attend an event alone as we are known for the many friendly people who attend our events. You are likely to meet many potential friends and/or business associates by attending our events.

anything you want then click save at the bottom.
How can I keep my photos from showing up under the "Photos"
tab?
From any page go to Settings (upper right) then click Privacy
(left) and edit who can see your photos.
My profile page comes up when I Google myself. How can I prevent
that?
From any page on BostonYPA.com click “Settings” on the right
and:
Under “Privacy”: Make your profile visible only to friends.
Under “My Page”: Change your url so that your last name is not in
it.
Under "Profile": Make sure where it says "Full Name" only your
first name or username is showing. DO NOT REMOVE YOUR REAL LAST
NAME under the "Profile Questions" or we will not be able to verify
your membership. This information is NOT visible on the web.
I purchased "Lifetime Premium Membership" in the old BostonYPA.com. Why can't I log in to the new BostonYPA.com? Will I receive a membership in the new BostonYPA.com. ?
Even if you purchased Premium Membership in the old BostonYPA.com, you must still create a new account for the new BostonYPA.com.I purchased a "Lifetime Premium Membership" in the old BostonYPA.com. Will I receive a refund?
Do you offer events for professionals over the age of 45?
Unfortunately, at this time we do not offer events for those outside our member age range of 21-45. If you are over age 45 and are interested in a social network like the BYPA, please let us know by emailing us at events@bostonypa.com. If we receive enough interest we may start one!
Are you a for-profit or not-for-profit
organization?
We are registered in the State of Massachusetts as a for-profit corporation. However, since the reason we exist is to create a community for young professionals in Boston, we intentionally keep our profit margin very low. Members typically pay the cost for the event plus credit card fees and a very small markup to help run the website and defray other costs of running the organization. Non members typically only pay $5.00 to $10.00 more per event with the exception of our events such as NYE which are very expensive to run. Additionally, we typically donate quite a bit to charity every year, so we rarely make much of a profit annually. Therefore, while we are registered as a for-profit, we are run much more like a not-for-profit organization.
