Permalink Reply by David Cohen on August 17, 2011 at 8:28am I would recommend a place that is easily accessible by public transportation as well as by car ( and by car that means relatively easy and painless parking).
It is impossible to park in the south end or the financial district, so if you chose those venues you it would be less appealing to your members who do not live near or use public transportation.

no opinion on the rest.
1. Whiskey Priest - by far the biggest venue, great music, whiskey, and rooftop views. Short walk to downtown and silver line. If you could section off the rooftop that'd be great.
2. Battery Park - Pretty sleek place, great for networking after the work day. Good food and good location.
3. The Times - Favorite of mine, right on the edge of the financial dist. Outside patio, close to the water, close to downtown.
4. TOTS - Personal favorite...had some fun times here. Close to the red line
5. Flash's - decent place, good location
6. Blue - Never been here. Heard good things. Good location
7. 28 Degrees - Never been. Good location.
8. Mission Bar and Grill - Never been, pretty far out there
9. Cambridge Commons - Kinda off the path from both Harvard and Porter. Pretty dark in there...good dinner experience and beer, not necessarily good for meeting people.
10. Local 149 - Never been, kinda off the path from where a majority of professionals work.
